SAINT PETER, Minn. — A lighting delay and tough offense slowed the Saint Mary's men's soccer team (0-11-2, 0-6-0) Tuesday afternoon at Gustavus Adolphus (7-3-2, 5-0-1).
Despite an even match for the first 20 minutes of action, the Cardinals' opportunities fell short, being held to just one shot in the half. The Gusties eight shots landed two goals of their own.
The Cardinals were within reach at halftime, but three quick goals out of halftime killed any hopes of a comeback.Â
Xander Lebakken had the Cardinals' lone shot on goal attempt.
Giovanni Rivas made his first collegiate appearance in the second half facing two shots.
Looking Ahead
The Saint Mary's men's soccer team will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 17, hosting Carleton for a 3:30 p.m. matchup.Â
